Clinical Experience

Rebecca has been a nurse for nearly 30 years, beginning her career in 1990. She transitioned to Primary Care in 1996 and currently works in Lewisham, South East London. She practices clinically one day a week, primarily supporting clinicians in managing patients with multiple morbidities. Rebecca specializes in Long Term Conditions and is dedicated to teaching and mentoring junior nurses. She holds the prestigious titles of Queen's Nurse and CNO Silver Award recipient. Additionally, she provides training to staff on managing various clinical procedures, including smears, childhood immunisations, travel vaccines, and treatment room duties.

Education Experience

Rebecca works four days a week as the Director of Primary Care Learning at the South East London Workforce Development Hub, where she is responsible for commissioning and delivering training to clinicians across South East London. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and has been teaching for the past four years.

Why do you teach?

Rebecca has developed a passion for teaching, as it allows her to work with clinicians to upskill, motivate, and inspire them to deliver high-quality care. She finds great satisfaction in equipping healthcare professionals with the tools to enhance the flow of their consultations, ensuring they are both effective and valuable to patients. By doing so, she helps make their roles more fulfilling and rewarding.
