Background
Kim is a General Practitioner with an interest in system change, new ways of working and improving population health. Her career to date has taken her across the healthcare system, spending a number of years working in acute and emergency medicine in both Australia and the UK before completing GP training. She has undertaken the prestigious Darzi Fellowship reinforcing her interest in health care leadership, and worked as National Clinical Policy Lead in Specialised Commissioning at NHS England, gaining insights into the challenges of NHS funding. She is passionate about quality improvement and supporting all those in health and social care to innovate, adopt and adapt their services to meet the needs of their local population.
Clinical Experience
Kim currently works as a GP in Brixton. She is also the Staying Healthy Clinical Lead at Lambeth Together; a partnership of the voluntary and community sector, the NHS, Lambeth Council, and others, focused on improving health and wellbeing and reducing inequalities for people in Lambeth through an integrated health and care system.
Educational Experience
Kim holds a Masters in Clinical Education from the University of Edinburgh. She is a visiting lecturer for the MSc Clinical Pharmacy Programme at Sunderland University.
What do you do at PCWA?
Kim is the Clinical Lead for Workforce Development and Strategy and is a Primary Care Specialist within the Primary Care Support Team. As part of this role she provides practices with advice and hands on support.
